Who we are

‘A quiet revolution is taking place across Britain as we become increasingly interested in our regional food and drink. There is a new eagerness to discover the provenance and traceability of all that we consume…. Through the establishment of British Bottled Water Producers you are advocating a positive move for the bottled water industry.’
     - Charlotte Lawson, UK and Business Services Director, Food from Britain.

The trend towards healthy eating and drinking means that more and more people are buying bottled water. We’re mostly made of water. Water is life-giving and vital.

In the UK we now buy more than 2 billion litres a year (Source: Zenith International). As we consume more water many people naturally want to know that the water they drink is free from unwanted additives; they want to identify the source of the water; and more and more Britons want to avoid unnecessary ‘food miles’.

For health, economic and environmental reasons, buying locally-produced British Bottled Waters is viewed as a positive move for many of us.

British Bottled Water Producers Ltd exists to promote positively and proudly the best of British bottled waters. Supported by leading as well as smaller, speciality brands, British Bottled Water Producers was launched in 2006 to answer some of those complex questions about that simplest of all elements - water.
